Laser Hair Removal FAQ
-
Laser hair removal uses concentrated light energy absorbed by pigment in the hair. This energy heats the hair follicle and disrupts its ability to produce hair effectively. Because hair grows in different cycles, a course of treatments is needed to achieve significant, long-term hair reduction.
We use the All White Schnelle diode laser hair removal machine, which provides cooling technology to make your treatments comfortable.
-
The number of sessions varies depending on your hair type, skin tone, treatment area, hormonal influences and individual response. Many clients need around 10–12 sessions, sometimes more, followed by maintenance treatments if required.
We'll discuss realistic expectations and a treatment plan during your consultation.
-
Yes! Laser hair removal can help manage unwanted hair associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), including facial hair and other areas affected by hormonal hair growth.
Hormonal hair growth can be more persistent, so you may need more sessions and ongoing maintenance than someone without a hormonal influence, and we will discuss this with you.
We understand that unwanted facial hair can affect confidence, and we'll always approach your treatment with sensitivity, discretion and realistic advice.
-
Absolutely! Laser hair removal can reduce hair growth, which may help improve recurring ingrown hairs, shaving rash and irritation caused by frequent hair removal. Results vary, but many clients choose laser to make their day-to-day routine more comfortable.
-
Everyone's experience is different. You may feel a warm sensation, a quick flick or a mild snapping feeling during treatment. Our diode laser incorporates cooling technology to help improve comfort, and we'll check in with you throughout your appointment.
-
Yes. Shaving is generally fine between sessions and is the recommended way to manage regrowth. Avoid waxing, plucking or other methods that remove the hair from the root, as these can interfere with your treatment course.
Skin treatments FAQ
-
The best treatment depends on your skin, your concerns and the results you're hoping to achieve.
Our Premium HydroDiamond Hydrofacial is always recommended as your first treatment with us, it is designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate the skin and we can have a close look at your skin concerns.
Microneedling can support improvements in the appearance of acne scarring, uneven texture, fine lines and some pigmentation concerns.
Our Miracle Chemical Peels help exfoliate and resurface the skin.
We also have our new Skin Sculpt Facial, which lifts shapes and contours your face through a variety of lymphatic massage techniques.
Please do book a consultation so we can recommend a suitable approach for your skin.
-
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to understand your needs and make sure you're comfortable. Where appropriate, we'll discuss your medical history, assess your skin or hair concerns, explain the treatment process and answer any questions before proceeding with a treatment.
